The Palmer Lake Troll — Reveal THIS Sunday!

A whimsical guardian for Palmer Lake

About This Project

Local artist Jodie Bliss spent two years crafting a stunning troll sculpture entirely from metal — the first of its kind in Colorado, and the only one made by a local artist. The troll lives beneath the pedestrian bridge at Palmer Lake, where it watches over the lake path as a permanent, beloved landmark.

Built from hand-forged steel and reclaimed materials, the sculpture features intricate details — from the troll's expressive face to its textured body adorned with leaves, berries, and organic forms that echo the natural world around Palmer Lake. It was officially unveiled on June 28, 2026, in a community celebration attended by hundreds.

The project is funded entirely through community donations. Every dollar goes directly to supporting Jodie's work and keeping this landmark in great shape for future generations.

Pay the artist. Help build the next one.

Feeding the Troll is all about paying the artist for two years of hand-forged work — and, hopefully, raising enough to commission Palmer Lake’s next piece of public art.

Every dollar goes straight to the work. And because Awake Palmer Lake is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your contribution is 100% tax-deductible.
